How to Make a Granola Bar Pie
Since becoming engaged, I have been pressured by family, friends, and my fiancé to learn how to cook. It was obvious from early on that I am not very good at cooking so I decided to try my hand at baking.
Today I’m going to demonstrate how to make an Oats ‘n Honey granola bar pie. This is the first recipe that I ever successfully prepared on my own, and I find that it is much healthier than most desserts that are popular here in the U.S.
The supplies and ingredients required for this pie are very easy to come by and the preparation is incredibly simple.

The ingredients required for this pie are:
To begin preparation you need to preheat the oven to 350 degrees and melt the margarine in the microwave for about 60 seconds or until it's good and melted.
Next you place the crust into the glass pie pan. After you do this, take the bowl of margarine and stir in the brown sugar & corn syrup until it is blended.
Then beat in the salt, vanilla and eggs and stir in the crushed granola bars as well as all remaining ingredients.
Pour the mixture into the pie crust and bake for about 40 to 50 minutes or until the filling is set. Half way through baking, cover the edges of the crust with foil to prevent burning it.
As you can see this is a very simple recipe to prepare and requires minimal effort, which is great for beginning cooks such as myself. I have also included a copy of the recipe for everyone here to hopefully take home and try for themselves.
I found this recipe in the Gainesville Sun and it was made by Suzanne Conrad of Findlay, Ohio. She won the $1 million grand prize at this year's Pillsbury bake-off with this recipe.
