This is a religion-free recipe. Christians are saved by faith in Christ Jesus and their good works demonstrates their faith and belief in Christ Jesus. Salvation comes by God’s grace, not by individual works. Salvation has to be received by faith.

Endnote for The Salvation Recipe

I chose this genre in order to demonstrate the difference between religion’s and Christianity’s way to get to heaven. I searched my mother’s cupboards at my house to find a cookbook. Once I found a cookbook, I used a recipe out of the cookbook as a guideline, while I created a new recipe for salvation using both Christianity and religion. I found most of the information from the internet and from my own knowledge as well. The information that I used from the internet came from a Christian web site, called “the why man Jesus answers.” The author of this web site does not reveal his identity, but he does tell the reader that he is a servant, doing the will of Christ. The information I used from the web site were the ingredients for the dressings of life for religion. The information used in the comment section for the Christianity recipe also originated from that website. I used this particular genre to show the major differences in religion and Christianity. Religions believe that good works will get ones self into Heaven. On the other hand, Christianity believes that we are saved though our faith in Jesus Christ. Christians believe that Christ died and was resurrected in order to pay the price for our sins, which means we are saved by God’s mercy, forgiveness, and love.
